
Finnish mobile phone giant Nokia has finally announced the availability of Nokia 5230 in India. The newly revealed handset is considered as the cheapest touch-phone option available in the market today.
Nokia 5230, which runs on Symbian S60 platform, offers a wide array of features and functions to its consumers, along with superb style and portability. It is equipped with a gorgeous 3.2-inch TFT LCD touchscreen with VGA (640 by 480), along with 2 megapixel camera, Stereo FM radio with RDS, standard 3.5mm audio output jack, social networking connectivity options, Ovi Maps 3.0 and Google maps.
Further, Nokia 5230 comes preloaded with various other applications, which includes Voice command/ dial, photo editor, Flash Lite 3.0, Document viewer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Handwriting recognition feature, Email and IM.
On the entertainment front, Nokia 5230 is capable to play various audio and video formats viz. MP3, WMA, WAV, RA, AAC, M4A, WMV, RV, MP4 and 3GP formats.
Nokia 5230 offers Bluetooth and USB connectivity along with GSM/GPRS/EDGE/ 3G support. However it misses out Wi-Fi functionality. But it is true that we can not expect too much from the company at this easy-on-pocket-price.
The internal memory of Nokia 5230 is 70 MB, which further expanded to 16 GB with the help of microSD slot.
Nokia 5230 is powered with a standard Li-Ion battery and, the company claims that it supports a talk time of over 4 hour and a standby time of up to 432 hours on 3G network.
Nokia 5230 is now available in India at a price of Rs 13,000.
