Acer launches three new window 6.5-based smartphones

Acer, the second largest computer manufacturer in the world behind HP, today announced the launch of three new handsets in Indian market, based on Microsoft’s new Window Mobile 6.5 platform.

The latest launch includes Acer Touch e101, Acer beTouch e200 and Acer NeoTouch.

The first handset, which is Acer beTouch e101 comes equipped with a 3.2-inch QVGA touch display (320×240), and includes 2-megapixel camera. The smartphone is powered by 528 MHz processor and supports talk time of 5 hours and standby time of 400 hours. The handset is available at a price of Rs 11,900, across the country.

While, the second handset beTouch e200 is a slider touchscreen phone, which is equipped with a 3.0 inch WQVGA touch screen and 3.2 pixel camera and supports video recording in dimension of 240*320.

The company claims that, with the help of beTouch E200 “Connected contacts” application, the user can stay in touch with his/her family and friends at all the time. The smart phone comes pre-loaded with Window live Messenger, Facebook, Youtube, Flickr, Blogger etc.

Acer beTouch e200 is a 3G ready handset and supports talk time of 5 hours and standby time of 400 hours. The smartphone is available at a price of Rs 17,900.

The company’s third launch is Acer neoTouch, which is a quad-band GSM smartphone with HSDPA support. The Windows phone features 3.8 WVGA touch screen, 5MP camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, bluetooth, among other facilities.

The smartphone is powered by 1 GHz processor and supports talk time of 300 minutes and standby time of 17 days. The handset is priced at Rs 35,000.
