Director Christopher Nolan has been critically acclaimed for several of his movies like ‘The Dark Knight’, ‘The Prestige’ and ‘Batman Begins’. However, this time his recent project, ‘Inception’ has broken all records. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, the movie is about the perfect crime – planting an idea into a person’s mind.
The movie is an ambitious one and is about the heightened subconscious mind of an individual. DiCaprio plays the leader of a gang of corporate thieves who are in fact dream stealers. In fact, Nolan’s film is based on dream psychoanalysis that provides for a surreal action-packed plot.
‘Inception’ has grossed $60.4 million in its weekend, though it has not been able to out-gross Nolan’s 2008 release, ‘The Dark Knight’ that made $158.4 million in its first three days of release. It has, however, become DiCaprio’s biggest debut ever. It has actually made more than his last release ‘Shutter Island’ which was also a psychological thriller and based on Dennis Lehane’s book of the same name.
‘Inception’ has created a major excitement in the audience not only because the theme of the movie is sci-fi but also because this kind of a story has never been experimented with before.
