United Spirits Ltd, the largest spirits company in India and among the top 3 spirits companies in the world, has completed acquisition of the entire Equity Share Capital of Tern Distilleries Pvt. Ltd. (Tern), a Company incorporated in the State of Andhra Pradesh, for a consideration of Rs. 13.42 Crore.

Tern Distilleries is engaged in the business of alcoholic beverages with its manufacturing facility located at Thallapalem in Visakhapatnam District.

With the latest move, Tern has become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.

Presently, the stock of United Spirits is trading at Rs 1192 on BSE. The stock had made 52-week-high and low of Rs 1124 and Rs 426 respectively.
